This needs a camera attached to the display
Tilt and pan are measured through the webcam's own orientation, so the camera must be built into — or clipped onto — the monitor you are aligning. A camera sitting on the desk or on a second screen will read nothing useful.

Camera is off. Nothing is read until you start it, and the video never leaves this machine.

Drift watch

Keeps reading after you stop looking, and speaks up once the error has held for a while — so you find out the moment it slips, not an hour later.

1 · Sit properly

Take the posture you actually want to hold — feet down, back supported, eyes level. Everything is measured from here, so a slouched datum bakes in the slouch.

2 · Aim by feel once

Adjust the monitor until it genuinely looks right to you. No instrument can know your desk; for this, you are the reference standard.

3 · Capture the datum

Hold still for two seconds. The pose is averaged and stored on this device, so tomorrow starts from the same target instead of from scratch.

4 · Fly the lamps

Two white two red is square to your eyes. All white means it is aiming over your head — bring the top toward you. All red is the opposite.
